Passports & Visas
Europe, where most of our trips are based, requires a valid passport, and U.S. citizens may also need to obtain a visa for certain countries. You can contact the consulate nearest you to renew or obtain a new passport. Some countries require your passport to be valid for a specified amount of time beyond your departure date (up to 6 months) so check the expiration date.
The U.S. State Department Passport Services offers online passport application and renewal information for U.S. citizens.
Starting in fall 2026, travelers to Europe must obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before arrival.
ETIAS is not a visa, but a required electronic travel authorization.
The application is quick and online.
The fee is €7 and is valid for three years.
Applies to visa-exempt travelers from 59 countries, including the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
For the latest updates, visit the official ETIAS website.
