John Gillvan
John Gillivan has been an avid cyclist for 44 years. He enjoys road and gravel riding in the Northeast, and has participated in the Tri-State Trek for ALS and the Great Cycling Challenge for Children’s Cancer Research for the last five years. John is a certified Spin instructor and he teaches classes at two fitness centers.
Since he retired from General Electric Company, John has gotten involved with local and state organizations as a bike and pedestrian advocate. He also is an avid gardener. When he isn’t riding his bike, he can be found tending his hydrangeas, heirloom vegetables, and perennials.
John joined Ciclismo Classico as tour leader in 2021. He enjoys getting to know guests and helping to fulfill their dream of completing a luxury bike tour while learning about the local history.
