Bike Across Switzerland with Frank & Dana
Hope your cycling season has been a good one! Although some of you may live in areas where you can cycle all year long, the rest of us will be dreaming of our next cycling adventure! So we, Frank and Dana, inspired by the kind request from Lauren Hefferon owner and creator of Ciclismo Classico, would like to œspark a dream and invite you to a new Ciclismo Classico tour, Bike Across Switzerland!
The natural beauty of Switzerland is not taken for grantedby the Swiss, and because of their respect for their nature, they have designed and maintained a very sophisticated system of hiking and cycling routes throughout the country.
We have a special affinity for the beauty and nature of Switzerland and appreciate the philosophy (and practice) of the Swiss style of low impact and self sustaining living.
Traveling extensively throughout the country by foot, skis, and bikes in Switzerland (also the residence of Dana’s mom), they have discovered many of the gems Switzerland has to offer, and the beautiful routes connecting them.
We are very excited to be involved in the development of and guiding a tour through this exceptionally beautiful landscape which is very true to their hearts.
Starting at the north shores of Lake Constance, we begin our journey across Switzerland, to the Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) backdropped by the snowcapped Alps. The tour passes through eight of Switzerland’s 26 cantons and provides the guest with unmatched natural beauty, insight into the political and historical foundations, and an up close and authentic experience of Swiss contemporary culture. Because most of this tour is on bicycle paths or designated bike routes, we are not only utilizing, but also contributing to the sustainability of the Swiss philosophy of human powered travel. We are excited to be guests/hosts in this beautiful country as ambassadors to help promote this way of life.
