2015 has brought many new and exciting opportunities for Ciclismo Classico. After 15 years of working as a guide, Ciclismo Classico has promoted me to be the NEW Director of European Operations. I love this company and I am excited to build my team in Italy, and I would love to celebrate this new opportunity with you at the 2015 Tour de France!
Last year I had the pleasure to lead our French Alps to French Riviera bike tour where we saw the Tour de France pass as we climbed mountain passes near Grenoble. It was really exciting to see all the movement created by this event, and admittedly (coming from an Italian) it is much better than the Giro d’Italia.
Sponsor cars passing with music and souvenirs from the tour to entertain spectators while waiting was quite exhilarating, and finally, THERE THEY WERE! All of a sudden an Italian was in the lead followed by other great pro racers. Just imagine, here is Vincenzo Nibali looking at me as I’m yelling “Vaaaaiiiii Vincenzooooo!”. I watched him go and I was sure he was going to win 2014 Tour de France (and he did).
I was amazed by the stamina of these cyclists, and was inspired to create a tour that showcases famous climbs. So, this year I’m going back and riding in beautiful Provence and the French Alps, hoping that Nibali will take the title once again from Contador, Froome and many others.
Are you ready to ride famous climbs like Mont Ventoux, Alpe d’Huez, and Galibier? Join me on this epic adventure, and if you don’t, keep an eye out for Ciclismo Classico jerseys that might appear on your television!
For any questions, please contact me at [email protected] or call one of our US-based Travel Consultants at 800-866-7314.
Limited spots, so don’t wait too long! Allons-y!
Au Revoir,
Massimo
