Designed for cyclists of all levels, this tour offers daily rides that range from 15 to 50 miles, almost entirely along the city’s pristine bike trails. Whether you choose a leisurely pedal or an adventurous extension, each day’s journey offers the chance to fully absorb the charm of Vieux Québec and its surrounding beauty without the hassle of packing and moving.
Our home base throughout the trip is a handpicked, luxurious hotel in the heart of Quebec City, where you’ll settle into plush comforts and begin to feel like a local. This unique spoke-style tour invites you to immerse yourself in the rhythms of the city—strolling cobblestone streets, savoring morning pastries at a neighborhood café, and striking up conversations with the warm-hearted Québecois people. By week’s end, you’ll know the hidden corners of the city and feel a true connection to its heritage.

Guiding you through this unforgettable journey is Christine Klaassen, a seasoned Ciclismo Classico guide whose love of cycling runs deep—straight from her Dutch genes. Christine has been part of the Ciclismo family since the 1980s, bringing with her decades of experience, an infectious passion for travel, and a heartfelt commitment to creating meaningful, immersive cultural experiences. After a 30-year career as a teacher and school principal in the Yukon Territory, she has returned to Quebec City and to the company where her cycling adventures began. Christine’s expertise in languages, history, restorative justice, and mindfulness adds depth and warmth to every ride and conversation.Christine’s partner, Régis, a fellow former cyclo-tour guide, now co-designs and co-leads the Quebec City tour alongside her. Together, they create an atmosphere of connection, curiosity, and joy, offering an experience that is as educational as it is inspiring. Their shared love for the region, its people, and its stories shines through every carefully selected route, culinary stop, and cultural encounter.
The tour is a feast for the senses, especially for food lovers. From a hands-on cooking class at Mme Germaine’s Culinary School to Indigenous tastings at La Traite restaurant in Wendake, each meal is a celebration of local flavors. Along the way, we indulge in iconic Québecois treats like poutine, rich maple delicacies, and fresh apple ciders. Culinary adventures continue with stops at local ice cream bars (bars laitiers) and an introduction to the region’s terroir, where every bite tells a story of the land and its people.
Beyond the bike, the journey is filled with cultural immersion. We explore Wendake’s First Nation Museum, learn about the traditions and resilience of the Huron-Wendat people, and stroll through Quebec City’s storied streets, lined with ornate Catholic churches and historic landmarks. The UNESCO-designated city’s French roots shine through in daily French lessons designed to help you connect more deeply with the locals. And, of course, the breathtaking Montmorency Falls—taller than Niagara—await with a suspended bridge, elegant manor, and the thrilling option to zipline over the falls.
The Quebec City Spoke Tour is much more than a bike trip—it’s a chance to build friendships, explore culture, and savor every moment of the journey. With Christine and Régis at the helm, you’ll not only see Quebec City, you’ll feel it—its stories, its flavors, and its spirit. This is Ciclismo Classico at its very best: a joyful, thoughtful, and delicious adventure through one of North America’s most beautiful cities
