2015 Top Guide Tours

This new Top Guide tour series is our way to celebrate what our multi-talented, super passionate and charismatic guides love and do best: design itineraries, share their love of cycling and deliver world class bicycle travel experience to every Ciclismo Classico guest. Top Guide Tours are one-of-a-kind bike tour itineraries that are only offered once a year, with special additions such as a custom cycling kit and a free carbon bike upgrade. This year, guides Sandro and Henrick have designed tours that showcase the very best of their stomping ground: Tuscany & western Ireland.
Are you a two-wheeled foodie? Spend 7 days at guide Sandro Draghi’s family-run Agriturismo Il Molinello, a 14th century sustainable and energy-independent farmhouse. The family has a garden which supplies them with organic produce, and 5 acres of olive groves for their organic olive oil. Follow the Slow Food movement by participating in an olive oil and a wine tasting with certified sommelier and olive oil taster, Sandro. Get acquainted with food through a hands-on cooking lesson with wife Elisa. At the end of the day, sit back and enjoy musical performances by co-guide and musician Isacco Colombo.
Is food, drink and socializing Irish-style more your thing? With guide Henrick Murphy, dive into old Irish Gaelic traditions—you will quickly become immersed in the Irish philosophy of life and welcoming spirit, “céad míle fáilte!” (a hundred thousand welcomes). Discover the Ireland of a postcard as you cycle through small, pub-filled villages and along the most spectacular piece of coastline. Irish history will be visible at every corner, from breathtaking monuments to fabulous ruins. Honorary Irish man Enrico Pizzorni will be the co-guide on this exhilarating bike tour of western Ireland, Henrick’s home.
What will it be? Wine in Tuscany or beer in Ireland?
