Tuscan Cuisine at its Best

The first meal of our Heart of Tuscany tour is lunch at the Relais Vignale hotel in Radda. Each course was perfectly plated and presented in a playful way. The pasta serving was just right, not too little or too much so we were ready to hop on our bikes after the meal.
One of the highlights of this trip is the dinner you will help prepare at the home of Serena (left) a local chef. Not only is there great food but dinner at Serena’s is a party! Lucia (right) a neighbor came over to share some salami.
Dinner at Serena’s is a family affair. Her mother, Adriana, will teach you how to make fresh pasta. She explains her own teachnique, the different types of flour she uses and why and show you how to shape the perfect spaghetti.
On a tour of Serena’s garden the peaches are so ripe you can eat them right off the tree. The garden is maintained by Serena and her neighbors. Tonight at dinner you will eat produce picked from the garden only a few hours before.
On the last day of the tour you will visit ‘Nostra Vita’ (Our Life) the winery and home of Giuditta Parisi, one of our guides. Giuditta and her family will treat you to a tour and tasting of their wine as you sit in the shade overlooking the hills of Tuscany.
