Cycling the hills, plains, and coastlines of the Norman countryside sounds like a slice of heaven to us. This region is of great beauty and tranquility, yet it has witnessed two of the most pivotal events in the world’s history: the Norman Conquest and the D-Day invasion. The anniversary of D-Day is commemorated annually with solemn ceremonies and grand re-enactments, and we will have a chance to participate.
Normandy is a land of abbeys, chateaux, and coastal villages that you will discover by bike and through the taste of the locally-made fine Cider, Calvados, and Camembert cheese for which this region is renowned. Our tour brings it all alive, as you are escorted to out-of-the-way delights, introduced to the gentle people of rural Normandy, and explore its gastronomic heritage. Allons-y!
