Stefano is from Providence, RI and grew up speaking Italian at home with his parents who immigrated to the US from Sicily. The Ciclismo tour, La Bella Sicilia, goes through Caltagirone and Ragusa where Stefano still has family! Prior to Ciclismo Classico, Stefano worked as a Technical Recruiter (“headhunter”) for several prestigious agencies in downtown Boston. He successfully located top tier software developers, network engineers, and project managers on behalf of multi-national clients, such as elite financial firms and pharmaceutical companies.

Eager to take a break from corporate life, Stefano decided to turn his cycling hobby into a job. He found a Sales position at Ace Wheelworks, one of the largest bicycle shops in the metropolitan Boston area. If there is anything more stressful than a contentious salary negotiation for an IT Executive, than it’s dealing with four kids simultaneously who are each looking for a kid’s bike and accessories during a summer sale! You can find Stefano at Ace Wheelworks on the occasional weekend where he assists clients with selecting a dream bike and he also dabbles in light mechanical work.
