How Bicycle Travel Transforms Lives: Regina Ragone

Feeling part of a family, meeting special Italians along the way. Noting that life is surely different in Southern Italy. This was Regina Ragone’s experience as she re-lived her childhood care-free days while buzzing around and experiencing the world around her from a bicycle seat.

Regina describes:

“It’s only recently that we’ve taken bicycle tours, and they have changed our lives in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We’ve made many new friends, rode challenging routes, and traveled to interesting places that we’ve always wanted to visit. Taking a bicycle tour is a refuge from life’s mundane tasks. And on a bicycle, it’s different–it reminds us of when we first learned to ride a bike as children, and the freedom and joy that comes from exploring new places using our own pedal power.

Last year we took a bicycle tour to Puglia with Ciclismo Classico that included a visit to the magical town of Matera. Most impressive were the people we met: artists, tour guides, baristas, and one gelataio in particular.
