Guests Revel In Tour de France Viewing On Alps to Riviera

This amazing testimonial from 3rd time Ciclismo Classico alumni travelers Jen and Jim Jesser (Giro d’Italia 2013 and Pyrenees Sea to Sea 2016)–hardly needs an intro. Their letter to the staff says it all.

The lovely Oakdale, California couple wrote in this week–back at home from their recent French Alps to French Riviera epic ride–with words that perfectly match the joy, bonding, surprises, amazing feats and most notably–a chance to view a Stage of the Tour de France!

Dear Wonderful people of Ciclismo Classico!! 

We wanted to let you know that our recent tour with you was quite simply, in a word, outstanding.  This was a dream trip for us as we had already conquered the Pyrenees and the famous Tour de France climbs of that region so we knew we wanted to do the same in the Alps and not only did we do the climbs but we did it in style!  Once again Ciclismo has provided us with the best routes, guides, hotels and meals that are your signature. You never disappoint. 

Henrik and Isacco…thank you for all you did to make our trip so memorable.  You really couldn’t have done anything more to make our vacation better. The shining moment was perhaps when you were able to re-arrange the schedule and make it possible for us to witness the Tour de France.  That was a day we shall never forget. It was amazing to be there, share it with so much of the world and watch the race in person. Wow. We were like little kids with excitement. 

Isacco, we shall always remember you biking up the Col du Izoard with us carrying a bottle of red wine, dried salami and water.  The picnic lunch you both prepared for us to eat as we waited for the race was above and beyond. You made that day, that ride and that experience exceptional.  We can’t thank you enough for what you did.  

Our group was small and each of us had some specific needs at different times but you both made us all feel like we were the most important person on the ride.  Your knowledge of the area, stories and anecdotal stories were classic. For all you did to make each day memorable we thank you so very much. We arrived as strangers but we went home with 6 new friends.  As leaders your efforts resulted in a cohesive, fun group that will always share this experience with great fondness. 

For Rosa, Elisa and Nancy! Your support pre-tour was always done with enthusiasm and done quickly!  Thank you for all the arrangements you made for us to ensure our trip went smoothly from start to finish.  You assumed the stress so we can relax and enjoy!

Thanks for making a dream trip come true and for the extra special surprise of the Tour de France.  Ciclismo Classico is something special indeed.
