Texas Hill Country Weekend Spin
Gather in historic Fredericksburg to experience the center of German heritage in Texas.
Gather in historic Fredericksburg to experience the center of German heritage in Texas. This community founded in 1846 by German settlers is rooted in its European past, but influenced by the Texas landscape and culture. Authentic German food along with Tex-Mex and barbecue, and now numerous wineries all merge here.
The cycling is some of the best in Texas with scenic views provided by, you guessed it, hills! Springtime is also special around here as it is famous for its wildflowers. For a laid back break there’s nearby Luckenbach, where Waylon and Willie hung out. Enjoy the beauty and challenge of the Willow City Loop, which Bicycling Magazine called the best ride in Texas.
