Festival Manager for Unique Film Festival!
The Ciclismo Classico Bike Travel Film Festival is a one-of-a-kind experience, the only film event
in the USA to focus solely on travel by bicycle. Since its beginning in 2010, the festival has
attracted a loyal following of avid fans, has been screened in venues across the country, and
has inspired people to explore the world on wheels.
We are now ready to take this labor of love to the next level and we need your help! Ciclismo
Classico is seeking a Festival Manager to take charge of the festival logistics and publicity. The
previous director has an extensive treasure trove of knowledge and documentation that will set
you on a great path and give you time to add your own special touches to this beloved event.
What: Ciclismo Classico Bike Travel Film Festival
When: Spring 2024 (and beyond); date tba but usually first week of Spring
Where: Somerville Theatre
Supervisor: Lauren Hefferon, Ciclismo Classico
Stipend: $3400 with additional bonuses available
Basic description of tasks:
- Act as liaison with theatre venue and charity partner
- Work with Ciclismo Classico to obtain underwriting for Festival
- Publicize the festival including through social and traditional media
- Handle all written materials for the Festival
- Work with filmmakers to compile final copies of films for the Festival DVD
- Manage Day-of-event logistics including script for Festival
- Ensure excellent post-event follow-up
- Optional: develop and partner with additional festival locations (each new location
would raise your compensation)
Note: For 2024, the previous Festival Manager will be reviewing and selecting the festival films,
but will be happy to train a new person into that role for 2025 and beyond.
