Join fellow adventure lovers at the Somerville Theatre in the heart of Davis Square for a magical evening of socializing and inspiring films that celebrate the joys of travel and human-powered adventures on wheels.

Presented by Ciclismo Classico, this unique festival showcases short films featuring cyclists of all ages and backgrounds, exploring destinations across the USA and abroad. It is the only event of its type in the world. You don’t have to be a cyclist to enjoy these captivating journeys—there’s something for everyone!

• Advance tickets: $25 + fee ($1.50)
• Day-of-show tickets: $30 + fee ($1.50)

The historic Somerville Theatre in the heart of Davis Square is a favorite for its excellent MBTA accessibility. Just steps from the Red Line and served by six bus routes, it’s also easy to reach by bike via the Minuteman Bikeway, Alewife spur, or the Somerville Community Path. Driving? Several paid lots and metered parking are nearby.

The 16th Annual Ciclismo Classico Bike Travel Film Festival featured films: 

• Alone Across Gola: Alone Across Gola is Jude Kriwald’s gripping debut short documentary following his solo crossing of Liberia’s Gola rainforest, an untracked wilderness where he faced heat, hunger, and isolation after his guide ran off with his bike
  and his money.  Filmed entirely alone, the journey is both physically and emotionally demanding.

• Chasing Rainbows: A film from around-the-world cyclists Jenny Graham and Markus Stitz portrays an e-bikepacking adventure that begins in Jenny’s hometown of Inverness, Scotland. It features the new Tern Orox Adventure Cargo e-Bike. Follow their three-day journey through Moray and Speyside, not only world-famous for its abundance of distilleries, but also home to some of Scotland’s most stunning coastal scenery.

• Above and Beyond: A Family’s Cycling Quest Across Central Asia: A captivating documentary that follows a family of three as they embark on an extraordinary 1,300 km cycling journey through the heart of Central Asia across the vast landscapes of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This inspiring tale showcases the resilience and wonder of a young adventurer and the bond of a family united by a shared journey into the unknown.

• Autumn Adventure: Bikepacking The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Loop: Gorgeous 3-day Fall ride on Bikepacking.com’s Grand Canyon Loop in a remote area of north central Pennsylvania in Oct 2025. It was the first bikepacking trip for Katrina Hase’s daughter-in-law, who camped at designated sites along the route.

• Ciclismo Cilento: Ciclismo A Taste of Amalfi:   Explore the Southern Amalfi Coast with Ciclismo Classico.

• The Bolt Between Borders:  Solo super Australian female, Courtney White, succeeds in her 23-day self-supported Tour Divide Mountain Bike Race from Canada to Mexico.

• Sicily Divide: This Broke Me: Follow Nono, an amateur triathlete and bikepacking enthusiast from Hamburg, Germany, as he rides the Sicily Divide route, a 285-mile bikepacking trail cutting right through Sicily from Trapani in the west to Catania in the east. With an elevation gain of 28,051 feet, it’s recommended to do this adventure in 7 days – he tried to do it in 4 days. Does he make it?
