At Ciclismo Classico, we adhere to a very specific list of core values. Traveling responsibly has always been at our core, and we incorporate these values into everyday business in all of our offices. Bringing dreams to life, we have built long-standing local and global relationships with the many organizations.
Our tours have always been human-powered, getting from point A to point B on our bicycles or on foot!
On each of our trips, we work with local growers, food producers, vineyards, culinary experts and local suppliers to create the best snacks and meals that never travel far from source to table. Our gear suppliers are all based in Italy, only enhancing a real Italian experience across all of our European tours.
Our entire team has been taught to be mindful of their impact on every place we visit, so we always try to leave a place without a trace. Reusable materials, recycling the recyclables and taking away what we bring in are standard. You should see the dozens of uses we have for old bicycle tubes!
We keep good company. Recognized worldwide for uncompromising quality, exceptional guest care and sustainable travel ethics, the Trusted Adventures alliance is a partnership of eight distinguished, award-winning, and independently operated companies: Ciclismo Classico, Wildland Adventures, Western River Expeditions, The Wayfarers, ROW Adventures, Great Alaska International Adventure Vacations, and Un-Cruise Adventures.
Ciclismo’s founder and Director Lauren Hefferon has participated in the USA’s largest cycling fundraiser over 19 times, personally raising over $1 million for the Jimmy Fund’s cancer research efforts. The company has also run virtual fundraising tours and supported the event with corporate contributions over the past 25 years.
Each summer Ciclismo Classico donates a portion of proceeds from our annual Bike Travel Film Festival to the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition, advocating for safer cycling, improved infrastructure, and increased awareness for cyclists across Massachusetts.
Our company has been a member of this forward-thinking, adventure industry association since its re-invention in the early 2000s.
