Fabiana Luperini was born in Pontedera in Tuscany. She’s always loved the bike and started riding at the age of seven, following her father’s example. She had a very long career as a professional rider and was very lucky to win five Tours of Italy, three Tour de France races, six Tours of Trentino races, four National Championships, three Frecce Vallone races in Belgium, and many other competitions. She handed in her professional riding saddle three years ago and now is a sport director on an Italian team of professional women.
Presently, she still lives in Tuscany and in Buti (a commune in Tuscany), where she has a small family farm. She has a degree in Sports Management and also teaches athletic training for cyclists. Of course, she still has an undeniable love for cycling, and that’s why she decided to join the Ciclismo Classico famiglia. We are so thrilled to have her join us as an expert bike tour guide!
