The Roadie: Gimme more miles

With the Tour de France on our radar this week, hammerheads (those riders who love to take on the advanced routes) have epic riding in the forefront of our minds. When we think about “epic,” many things come to mind, but most of all we think grandiose, spectacular, and surely out of the ordinary; heroic or grand in scale or character.

We like to think of our epic rides as our “story” rides. Tales of mountain passes that you’ll be recounting and retelling over and over again. Magnificent routes covering places and feasts that great cycling heroes have achieved as well.

Where to go for your next story? Let’s start with the infamous, absolutely stunning, awe-inspiring Alps… and from there we take you to other wondrous, magical places where the scenery varies and only gets better.

Here are just a couple examples of our favorite Epics!

Tackle famous passes in the French Pyrenees. On this amazing Pyrenees Sea to Sea ride you’ll cross from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, summiting many of these famous cols and relaxing in the soothing thermal waters of Ax-les-Thermes. Oooh-la-la!
