This exciting adventure features a stunning hike around the cliffs of Positano, a visit to the beautiful gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, a private walking tour of the historic cathedral and cloisters in Amalfi, and a boat ride along the glimmering Mediterranean coast.
You’ll never forget the ferry ride to the isle of Capri where you’ll explore the ancient Roman ruins of Villa Jovis, enjoy a delicious picnic, and encounter the famous faraglioni rocks jutting out of the sea. Stop at a local limoncello factory for a tasting of the regional specialty and enjoy the melodic sounds of the native Neapolitan music. This unique hiking vacation will engage all of your senses and introduce you to the savory southern Italian cuisine, famous for its natural ingredients and traditional dishes like spaghetti allo scoglio, and delizie al limone.

Day by Day
Today you can either catch our group shuttle from Salerno train station at 12 pm or meet us at 2 pm on the terrace of our first hotel overlooking the bay. After a light lunch, introductions and an orientation, we begin our tour with a short hike through the town of Positano to an old cemetery built into the side of the cliff town. You can also stop for a gelato at a beachfront café! In the evening, we have dinner at a waterside restaurant.
After breakfast, we hike north through olive groves and farmland to the hamlet towns of Montepertuso and Santa Maria di Castello. Our afternoon hike brings us to treetop level before descending back down to Positano.
Capri & Villa Jovis
This morning, we're off to Capri by ferry! From Capri’s port, we walk on pedestrian lanes up to Villa Jovis, Tiberius’ summer playground and site of our relaxing lunchtime picnic. After we tour these marvelously preserved Roman ruins, opt to wander through Capri’s elegant lanes or continue on a panoramic walk to see the famous “Faraglioni” rocks that jut out from the sea.
Amalfi & Ravello
After breakfast, we'll descend down to sea level for a boat shuttle to Amalfi. Once there, we'll enjoy a private guided walking tour of this maritime republic, known for its glorious cathedral, cloister, and covered pedestrian lanes. In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Ravello to explore the 12th century Cathedral and the exquisite villas and gardens that surround the property.
Valle dei Mulini
Today, we'll visit the beautiful gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello in the morning, then hike through chestnut groves between Ravello and Amalfi, through S. Caterina and Scala. Visit the12th century church in Scala and enjoy a delicious lunch in Pontone. After lunch we descend back to Amalfi through the famous "Valle dei Mulini" (valley of the paper mills). This afternoon, we'll visit a local limoncello (lemon liqueur) factory for a special tasting!
In the morning around 9 am, we'll shuttle you to Salerno train station (40 minutes) to meet connecting trains, buses, or rental cars.
