Malalcahuello Warm-up

Our local staff will meet you at Temuco Airport and transfer you to a small quaint mountain village called Malalcahuello. This village is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve “Araucarias”. Your guides will assist you to assemble and fit your bike and then take a short warm-up ride. In the evening, we’ll have an orientation and briefing session before our welcome dinner together .

Kütralkura Goepark and the Andes Climb

Today the van will take us to the Sierra Nevada Range right through the tunnel Las Raíces, the longest tunnel in Chile (2.8 miles). Here we’ll set off on our second ride, traveling alongside the Lonquimay River by an almost flat valley; this section features the Kütralkura Geopark and one of the smoothest roads. We’ll bike the Geopark territory through the lands of different Pewenches communities, ascending the international path Pino Hachado.

Kütralkura Goepark and the Coloradito Hill Hike

Today we start hiking from the hotel. We’ll hike towards Cerro Coloradito (redish hill), a natural view point of 4 volcanoes: Lonquimay, Llaima, Sierra Nevada and Villarrica. The hike is quite fun along a quiet trail with fantastic views. We’ll be surrounded by an ancient forest of araucaria trees, some of them dating over 2,000 years old. After the hike, we’ll get in the van and start traveling to Pucón, the main adventure tourism destination in the Lake & Volcano District.

Pucon's Hot Springs Loop

We’ll start bicycling from our hotel to Lake Caburgua and then towards Pucon’s famous Hot Springs. Throughout today’s ride our guide will help us identify several species of birds and trees as we cycle next to beautiful farms and enjoy views of the Villarrica volcano. After cycling the rolling and sometimes hilly road to the hot springs, we will enjoy lunch and then a soothing soak in a hot mineral bath. Evening at leisure.

Villarrica National Park Loop

We’ll cycle from your hotel in Pucón toward a small Mapuche village located near the border with Argentina. Here we can visit a Cultural Center and learn about the Mapuche, the area’s indigenous people. Along today’s ride we’ll cycle alongside river Trancura while enjoying views of three volcanoes, Villarrica, Quetrupillan and Lanín. Dinner with a local Mapuche family.

Chile's Seven Lake District

Today we will ride one of Chile’s most scenic roads, The 7-Lake Route. We’ll pedal alongside the shores of two beautiful lakes, Calafquén and Panguipulli, and cover three-quarters of the way around Villarrica, a majestic, snow-capped active volcano. We’ll pedal by the beach of Lake Panguipulli - meaning “land of lions” - while enjoying the views of Chile’s southern volcanoes. From here we continue riding alongside Lake Panguipulli until the end of the paved road near Choshuenco village, where we eat lunch. From this point we’ll drive half hour to the Biological Reserve Huilo Huilo.

The German Settlers' Route

Today we’ll ride in the van until we reach the city of Osorno, where we will begin cycling. From this point we’ll start our ride towards quaint little villages with a strong German heritage. We’ll enjoy an incredible buffet lunch in a German family-owned restaurant and then drive to Puerto Varas for an evening at leisure to explore this nice city.

Vincente Perez Rosales National Park

In the morning, we start riding from the hotel, alongside Lake Llanquihue. The side of the Volcano reaches the shore of the lake and we’ll pass through the middle of this astounding landscape as we travel to the village of Ensenada. We will start pedaling from Puerto Varas to Petrohue, attacking 40 miles in one of the most beautiful routes of the tour. Upon completing the ride we’ll head back with the van to the charming german-style city of Puerto Varas, our last destination, and let ourselves to relax and enjoy a farewell dinner.

Adiós

Sadly, it’s time to say good-bye to the beautiful Lake & Volcano District of Chile. After breakfast, we’ll ride in vans to Puerto Montt City and visit the Market of Angelmó, which is the perfect place for wonderful souvenirs, handcrafts and woolen clothing. Later, we’ll head to the Airport to catch your flight back to Santiago. It’s been a trip you will always remember!
